Took a demo from this weekend's Hard Surface Design class over at the Workshop Academy and polished it up a bit. Had a lot of fun approaching this with a 'Lego Block" sort of building approach in blender. Just mushing together basic shapes, with some complex ones thrown in as I go, to sketch in 3D before drawing over.
.
I had also used a background image in blender from polyhaven.com which while out of scale to the concept, shows how you could easily setup semi accurate perspective backgrounds to paintover even in the sketch stage. Brought into photoshop to demonstrate this with the concept.
