Before handing them off to Nathan Elmer for some awesome final pass design and paintings, I had the opportunity to layout and set up a few of the major key elements of the Abyssal Forest and Forge levels. The idea of a mine inside a downed Ancestral with a giant sword in it was very cool and fun to setup. 3D model of Wintherin used as block out for ancestral based on asset created by Jason Martin! Additionally, a sketch of the cavern underneath where you get some cools stuff (spoilers).
